WWE's Oscar And Razzie Awards 2014

By Andrew Soucek /

Wrestling is a strange beast. It doesn't matter how good you are inside the ring, you need to play an interesting character to become successful. At its very core, wrestling is about acting on a stage. It's just like going to your local theater, and watching a couple of actors performing on screen. Okay, so it's not much like that at all, but it still all boils down to acting. And just like in movies, TV or theater, some people are really good at it, and some are embarrassingly awful. Here, we celebrate the men and women who are the best at what they do in wrestling. It's an art form that is under appreciated and often mocked. But really, no one else on the planet can do their job. We've seen wrestlers transition over to movies successfully like The Rock lighting up the screen in Fast and Furious, or Roddy Piper in They Live or Hulk Hogan's subtle and nuanced performance as Dave Dragon in the avant garde masterpiece 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain. But have you ever seen Al Pacino deliver a double axe handle? Have you ever seen Kate Winslet powerbomb someone through a table? I didn't think so! All hail wrestling! Just like the Oscars, we're handing out awards for a variety of categories. We'll also be handing out awards for the worst and most annoying wrestlers around. Just like the yearly Razzie awards for film, we honor those who shouldn't be honored. Now, here are the nominees and winners for the best and worst acting performances in WWE.
