WWE's Shocking Stomping Grounds Ticket Sales Exposed
Things don't look great for WWE's next B-level PPV.
WWE's Stomping Grounds pay-per-view is just 12 days away (23 June), but it looks like the company are having serious difficulty filling the 20,722-seater Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington.
The extent of WWE's issues was exposed by Twitter user @TheVicMacias last night. Here's how the Ticketmaster seating map currently looks, with blue seats signifying unsold tickets:-
This isn't a good look for the company so close to a main roster show, with the floor seats being so sparse particularly shocking. The building is so empty, in fact, that WWE are currently offering a 2-for-1 deal on tickets, having just returned from a European tour that saw them offer free upgraded seats to anyone going to their sparsely attended British shows.
It's impossible to blame the fans for the Stomping Grounds situation. Four of the five confirmed bouts are rematches from WrestleMania 35, Money In The Bank, or Super ShowDown, and none of them have any major heat. The final clash, meanwhile, as a repeat of the disastrous Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley feud that saw the current SmackDown Women's Champion buried in 2017.
Ticket sales may yet pick up before the event, but it doesn't look good at the moment.
