10 Most Powerful Mutants In Marvel History

The X-Men have some seriously powerful characters...

Marvel certainly has its fair share of Mutants, but some are more powerful than others. Like other superpowered beings, there is a ranking system to determine the level of power and ability a Mutant has with the fabled "Omega" level topping the list.

When a Mutant is classified as Omega, they are pretty much as powerful as a character can get in the Marvel Universe. These people are capable of using their gifts to affect changes on a planetary scale, but not every Omega-Level Mutant is an all-powerful god... only some are.

The Mutants whose abilities put them into a class above the rest stand as some of the most powerful characters throughout the Marvel Universe. Some of them are good guys and some are bad, but all are way overpowered when compared to the rest.

Of all the marvellous Mutants with this classification, the ones who are more powerful than others tend to stand several levels of power over their peers. These 10 are the most powerful of them all based on their abilities, what they've done in the past, and their potential to wreak havoc upon the Marvel Universe at a moment's notice.

10. Nate Grey

Nathaniel "Nate" Grey, otherwise known as X-Man, is an alternate universe version of Cable. Nate hails from the "Age of Apocalypse" universe dubbed Earth-295. He is the son of that universe's Scott Summers and Jean Grey, but was born thanks to genetic tampering done by Mr. Sinister whose original intent was to design him to be so powerful, his abilities would eventually kill him.

Unlike his Earth-616 counterpart, Nate was not infected by the techno-organic virus, which would have otherwise kept his powers in check. Because he was uninfected, his telekinetic and telepathic powers were so enhanced and attuned, he became one of the most powerful beings in the Earth-295 universe.

Nate Grey wasn't lost when the Age of Apocalypse universe was destroyed; he was able to find his way to Earth-616, otherwise known as the main Marvel Universe, where he struggled to adapt to his new surroundings.

In terms of abilities, Nate's use of telekinesis is unmatched. He can move pretty much anything with his mind and even destroyed a city from more than 2,600 miles away by crushing it. He can form holograms by manipulating the water molecules in the air and his abilities were once compared to that of the Phoenix-Force when it inhabited the body of Jean Grey.
