Having unveiled the €œant-sized€ teaser to the teaser trailer and accompanying, equally titchy poster (good joke guys, well done, maybe stop it now), Marvel finally gave fans their first human-sized look at their new superhero movie during the premiere of their new TV series Agent Carter €“ man, it's really a good time to be a comic book fan, huh? Especially on the basis of this Ant-Man trailer.There has been some doom and gloom surrounding the build up to the studio's other big tentpole release in 2015 €“ besides Avengers: Age Of Ultron, which everybody knows is going to do gangbusters €“ after a tricky production that started when the MCU was but a glimmer in Kevin Feige's bank account, visionary British director Edgar Wright left the project to be replaced by somewhat-less-visionary Peyton Reed. Which didn't exactly help reassure audiences who, admittedly, had accepted a talking raccoon and a Norse god as viable movie stars, but a superhero whose power is talking to ants? And calls himself Ant-Man? That seems a little too much of a stretch. This first trailer did a lot to assuage any fears or cynicism, though €“ in no small part thanks to all the exciting shout-outs to the source material, and seeds for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
