10 Awful 2014 Movies That Deserved To Bomb At The Box Office

They're so atrociously bad they really don't deserve your money.

It's been a slow year for Hollywood at the box office, with the industry reporting the worst slump for summer takings in eight years and one studio executive lamenting, "I wish I worked at Netflix." It's not all been bad - there have been more than a few hits, with Guardians Of The Galaxy, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and The LEGO Movie all performing very well, while a few other less deserving movies, such as the latest Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, raked in bucketloads of cash for their investors. No one really likes to see a film performing badly - people (normally) work very hard to make the product the best it can be - but some movies are different. These are the films which simply don't live up to the standards moviegoers expect when they shell out what is essentially the price of a DVD to see a film once; movies which are poorly conceived and executed, with little attention paid to writing a decent script or terribly unconvincing performances from actors on autopilot. In short, they pretty much deserved to perform poorly. Here are ten of 2014's truly awful movies which deserved to bomb at the box office. Let's hope Hollywood learns its lesson and refrains from making more films like these.
