10 Awful 2014 Movies That Deserved To Bomb At The Box Office

10. The Legend Of Hercules

Budget: $70 million Box office: $61.3 million Hercules has enjoyed a number of big screen outings over the decades, from Schwarzenegger to Disney, and in 2014 Hollywood saw fit to deliver not one but two more movies for the Greek demigod. Dwayne Johnson's Hercules might have been average at best, but The Legend Of Hercules plummeted into new depths of badness. Released in January - the month where most terrible films find themselves hitting cinemas - The Legend Of Hercules is about as dull, generic and lifeless as movies come. With a slew of terrible performances which made Xena Warrior Princess look like Shakespeare and an over-abundance of terribly choreographed, CGI-enhanced battle scenes, you'd be hard pushed to think of a film which wastes the mythology more than this. With a 3% rating on Rotten Tomatoes it's little wonder that Renny Harlin's lazy movie completely bombed at the box office. With such poor execution it's about as much as could have been hoped for.
