10 Game-Changing Characters Coming To MCU On Disney+
The MCU as you know it is going to be changed forever thanks to Disney+!
Following the conclusion of The Mandalorian's first season on the Disney+ streaming service, options are now limited when it comes to original content. There's still a fair bit to delve into, of course, but none of that is as noteworthy as the first live-action Star Wars TV show.
Luckily, that looks set to change over the next few years thanks to the expansion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the small screen. TV shows like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, and Moon Knight (along with several others) are all in the works from Marvel Studios and while the stories of a lot of familiar faces will continue, we'll also be introduced to some game-changing new heroes and villains.
For some of them, a live-action debut is long overdue. Others, meanwhile, may not be names which are instantly recognisable to most audiences, but trust us when we tell you that they will still change this shared world forever.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has promised that what happens on Disney+ will shape much of what takes place on the big screen, and so these are the game-changing additions to the MCU you should definitely be on the lookout for.
10. Mist
In Thor: Ragnarok, we learned that a battle with Hela thousands of years ago meant that the MCU has only one surviving Valkyrie (played by Tessa Thompson). Well, that might not be quite true as a New Mutants character called Mist is set to appear in the Loki TV series.
An ally to the mutant Danielle Moonstar, Mist was a young Valkyrie who came under fire from her fellow warriors for befriending a mortal. She also has a history with Hela after managing to defeat the villain alongside her fellow Valkyries but that's obviously a contrast to what happened on the big screen. However, if the Valkyrie we now know and love managed to escape with her life, there's no reason to think Mist couldn't do the same.
Little is known about what role she'll play in the God of Mischief's first solo adventure but just the fact that there's another Valkyrie out there is significant and something that's likely going to be touched on in Thor: Love and Thunder.
In fact, Mist may very well be the "Queen" Valkyrie is looking for now that she's the King of New Asgard.
