However, if there's one thing you can count on horror filmmakers to do, it's bringing chaos and carnage through death scenes for bloodthirsty audiences to savor and enjoy. Sure, most of these horror films can end up feeling like a waste of time, but talented enough directors can deliver at least one memorable death sequence that ends up serving as somewhat of a silver lining. These are scenes that manage to capture your attention and make you wish that the rest of the movie could match the quality of said sequence.

With that in mind, let's take a look at some of the best deaths featured in some of the worst horror movies out there. These range from the genuinely well-made to 'so bad, it's good' territory.' And since these will be discussing major sequences in-depth, a spoiler warning is advised.

10. Peter Strahm - Saw V

Saw V was a warning sign that the popular horror franchise was running out of ideas, with traps becoming less inventive and characters even more cookie-cutter. But one consistency from the series, is that it knows how to deliver a highly entertaining twist ending.

During the film's final moments, Peter Strahm finally has Hoffman - aka Jigsaw - at his mercy and traps him inside a glass coffin. But his alleged victory takes a dark turn, because once we hear the opening notes of 'Hello Zepp', we know something is about to go down.

True enough, we learn that Strahm was supposed to place himself inside the coffin as the walls start closing in. Despite his valiant efforts to escape, our hero is helpless as he tries all means to save himself. We then witness Strahm being slowly crushed to death, all while Hoffman watches his nemesis' final moments.

In a series full of gory and painful deaths, Strahm's demise remains one of the most brutal out there, and at least manages to end a terrible movie on a positive note.
