9. Monica Jones - The Rage: Carrie 2
The Rage: Carrie 2 is the sequel no one asked for. Sure, Brian De Palma's Carrie was a classic, but it was also self-contained and did not need a continuation. The follow-up was rightfully lambasted by critics, with many calling out the movie for being a shameless retread of the original.
Ultimately, the only positives about The Rage are Emily Bergl's performance in the lead role, and the chaos that ensues by the end of the film.
A particular highlight is Monica Jones' demise during Rachel's climactic rampage. For one, Monica was earlier revealed to be a reprehensible character who feigns kindness, only for us to find out that she was in on the prank which humiliated Rachel. At the same time, Monica's comeuppance is well-deserved and a painful way to go.
During Rachel's climactic attack, Monica points a speargun at her. Our lead retaliates by telekinetically smashing Monica's glasses into her eyes, causing the young woman to scream in pain and die from the shock. As an added bonus, Monica accidentally spears Eric's genitals during this moment, killing him as well.
