With great power comes great respons... oh, sorry, wrong Disney-owned franchise (well, sort of - let's not get into contract law so early into an article). However, there is undoubtedly great power in the Star Wars saga. Some of it is used responsibly (the Jedi) and some not so much (Sith), but the Force is an incredibly strong presence, the flowing energy that binds the galaxy together, and those who can tap into it are capable of weilding incredible power. We've seen this unleashed in a variety of ways across six films, from epic duels to Force lightning, turning the Force into a myth in its own right in the process. However, while a lot of the most powerful characters are those who use the Force and wield lightsabers, there are other ways of being powerful - it isn't just the Jedi and Sith who are worthy of a mention. You don't need to be a Jedi Master to save the galaxy, and nor do you need to be a Sith Lord to be a fearsome foe. Sure, they have unbelievable fighting skills, but can they make the Millennium Falcon do the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs? Exactly. Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster. Well, some of the time...
