10 Most Powerful Weapons In Star Wars

From the Empire's terrifying arsenal to Boba Fett's seismic charges...

Despite many of the stories we see unfolding out in the galaxy far, far away revolving around the struggles of a few individuals on opposite sides of the light and dark divide, a large amount of the most memorable and stunning moments in the history of Star Wars have been caused by things much bigger and more powerful than a few lightsaber-wielding Force users.

If our many trips to relentless alien battlefields and flights through the cold vacuum of space have taught us one thing, it's that having the biggest gun generally seems to get the job done. Now, of course, those fighting the good fight usually tend to find a way to overcome even the most destructive of artillery. But not before the big bad's new toy has been able to flex its muscles and tear down multiple soldiers, ships, or even entire planets with the push of a button.

So, buckle up and watch on in absolute horror, as it's time to go on a tour of the 10 weapons you'd least like to come face-to-face with in the heat of intergalactic battle...

10. Seismic Charges

Though Jon Favreau and co. gave devoted fans more than a few reasons to lose their sh*t as Boba Fett finally re-announced himself on the Star Wars live action scene in Season Two of The Mandalorian, one moment in particular encapsulated the returning bounty hunter's character perfectly.

As Fett and the gang attempted to escape Morak with two TIE fighters on the tail of Slave I, the son of Jango let loose a devastating seismic charge on the pair of unwanted guests. Reminding us instantly why they're one of the coolest and most efficient weapons in the galaxy - much like the familiar face dispersing them - the charge drew in sound from the surrounding area before letting rip a stunning noise, piercing blue light, and shockwaves that destroyed everything in its path.

The other, most famous use of this frightening device came during Attack of the Clones, with the aforementioned Jango releasing multiple seismic charges whilst trying to lose Obi-Wan Kenobi in an astroid field. Needless to say, few weapons have ever made complete annihilation look so damn pretty.
