But like every great story, the adventures of Harry Potter aren’t always perfect, and sometimes, it’s preferable to skip certain scenes.

Some of the most skippable moments are simply unnecessary in terms of the overall plot. They don’t add anything of interest and feel like a deviation from what’s important. These scenes are fairly rare, but they do crop up from time to time.

There are also a number of skippable scenes which are uncomfortable to watch due to a lack of quality. Poor writing and questionable performances are often at the heart of these scenes, and when both occur at the same time, the result is far from satisfactory.

As such, there’s nothing wrong with skipping ahead every now and then. Next time you feel like re-watching the Harry Potter series, these are the scenes you want to miss.

10. The Arrival Of Beauxbatons And Durmstrang - The Goblet Of Fire

Those who grew up reading the Harry Potter series had high expectations for the fourth film. At last, the wider regions of the wizarding world were going to appear on screen. Unfortunately, both the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament were pretty disappointing.

The introduction of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang is simply misjudged. The ladies of Beauxbatons dance their way through the Great Hall with a routine that comes across as silly rather than charming, and the Durmstrang students are even worse.

Determined to prove their might, they stroll in with their sticks and start chanting some kind of war chant. Far from being intimidating, their performance is almost funny.
