You sometimes have to question the motives of film studio executives. If Hollywood truly wants us to believe that the American film industry isn't just about money, then giving films like Batman V Superman the green light for filming certainly isn't going to help matters. Everyone knows that Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy not only revitalised the the Caped Crusader after a stint of awful films, but that it also made Warner Bros. a very, very large sum of money. Sceptical as that viewpoint may be, there's obviously a degree of truth behind Hollywood's repeated reboots, sequels and prequels, and if you're one of the super sceptical among us, you'll view Batman V Superman as another one of those films. Then again, who can really blame the studio for wanting to capitalise on the success of one of its biggest franchises ever? The burning question though, is whether fans of Nolan's films will get behind a new, re-imagined Batman. While we have the utmost faith in Zack Snyder's ability to make great films, creating a Batman film that's relatively hot off the heels of Nolan's trilogy is going to be an extremely tough ask, especially when the film can't possibly hope to best some of the entries on this list. Take a gander at the next ten pages, and decide for yourselves if there truly is any hope at all for a new Batman.
