We could be on the verge of something big...

Set to take place between April 13th and 16th 2017, Star Wars Celebration is the largest gathering of Star Wars fans and actors on the planet, a salute to everything that makes our favourite Galaxy Far, Far Away so special.

Previous years’ events have seen some interesting unveilings about the future of the franchise, and with fans eagerly awaiting news of both Star Wars Episode VIII and the as-yet-untitled Han Solo spinoff, this year’s Celebration could be the biggest in over a decade.

It feels as though we’re on the cusp of a lot of huge Star Wars announcements. Disney/Lucasfilm’s movie, TV, video game and comic-book arms usually begin flexing around the time of Star Wars Celebration, so it’s likely we’ll see an outpouring of information once April rolls around.

If you’re attending the event, it’s likely that you’ve already mapped out a strict itinerary for the 13th of April. If you’re following along at home, you could be in for a long three days of staring into your screen, patiently waiting to absorb more Star Wars goodness.

10. A Remastered Theatrical Cut Of The Original Trilogy

Star Wars fans can be a difficult bunch of people to impress, but if there’s one thing they all seem to want, it’s a remastered, HD version of the Original Star Wars movies.

After George Lucas’s numerous Special Edition rereleases ruined about as much as they improved, fans are eager for a more faithful and mostly unaltered version of the saga, albeit one that’s been touched up to match modern visual fidelity. Some people have yet to see the original trilogy without unnecessary CGI Jabbas and Darth Vader re-dubs.

With Celebration Orlando coinciding with the 40th Anniversary of A New Hope, it makes sense that we’ll be seeing an updated version of the theatrical release unveiled at the event.

The rest of the saga might be given the same treatment, too; although the Prequels are still in pretty good nick, and can hardly have their CGI elements removed, it’d be nice to see a Blu-Ray collection of every film in the series, unmolested by George Lucas’s perfectionist tendencies.
