Sequels are rarely necessary to the ongoing pantheon of cinematic history, but that doesn't stop Hollywood from pushing them out with the relentless force of a factory conveyor belt regardless. Why? Because human beings are inherently weak when it comes to sequels, prequels and spin-offs - they see something they like, and instinctively they want more. Despite the fact that most sequels that eventually find their way into the world should have probably found themselves discarded the moment they appeared as mere proposals in the heads of those bigshot La La Land executives, most of the time folk flock to see them anyway - and that includes the people who rallied against their existing in the first place. Nobody wants to miss out, after all - because even a "bad" sequel offers up its own unique brand of pleasure. Because it can be kind of "fun" to hate on a bad sequel, can't it? In the case of the following sequel ideas, you probably couldn't call any of them "necessary." And yet, for one reason or another - be it nostalgia, curiosity or outright greed - it'd be nice to see them anyway...
