11 Best 'Gameshow' Horror Films

Nothing beats an entertaining, wholesome game. Something that everyone can get involved with and have a little fun, like twister, or dominoes, or a nice family game of cluedo.

However, in the dark shadowy realms where creatures such as Monopoly dwell - there’s those that want to take a good thing and turn it into something dark and evil. Games that make psychological warfare child’s play, and where one wrong move can cost you anything from a limb to your life.

Though, perhaps watching someone lose a finger when they try to put a hotel on Mayfair wouldn’t be that bad after all…

Dredging up the goriest type of fun possible, the very best in bloody entertainment can be found in the types of games where surviving is the grand prize - though you might lose a few body parts or family members along the way. It’s all in the name of fun.

11. The Belko Experiment

Featuring a group of American white collar workers heading to their office in Columbia, the employees abruptly get locked into their building and told to kill an amount of their populus or face a mass culling. Sounds like a fine day at the WhatCulture offices to me.

Written by Guardians of the Galaxy’s own James Gunn, it isn’t long until the games begin and a black sense of humour unfolds. In a sick retelling of hide and seek, it’s only the strongest that will survive the afternoon, that is, if they can keep their heads...

Whilst considerably fun for its dark subject matter, The Belko Experiment isn't at the top of it's game when it comes to other films in this list, and seems to lose itself in its wild violence rather than do anything definitively new. Still, it's a good watch and entertaining for its hour and a half run time.
