We're safely out of January now, which without fail is always the worst month to be a cinemagoer. Referred to within the industry as the "graveyard period", in which studios dump their dud horror flicks (Devil's Due) and other undesirables (The Legend of Hercules, The Nut Job), it at least leaves us safe in the assurance that the rest of the year is going to be gravy compared to what we've just sat through: it's all summer blockbusters and prestige flicks from here on out. And so what do we foresee happening this year? As with any 12 months of cinema, there are going to be surprise hits and flops, reboots that can't gain traction and new franchises that never pick up any momentum, as well as little movies that end up in our top 10 of the year. Which movies fit those criteria for 2014? And of course, feel free to disagree and/or add your own suggestions!
