14 Simple Fixes That Would Have Made Fantastic Four Awesome
Aside from just starting again, obviously.
haven't been kind to it at all: it's rocking an average review score lower than the likes of Batman and Robin and Elektra, and it's dangerously close to dropping beneath Catwoman too. So, what went wrong? Much has been made of the film's troubled production and creative clashes between the studio and the director, but in reality, making F4 even half-way decent shouldn't have been all that difficult, especially with the bar for success being set so low after the previous two Tim Story movies. These changes may collectively amount to a lot, but individually, they're pretty much basic common sense regarding what makes money and what audiences actually want to see. That nobody in charge of this production could recognise these issues is simply jaw-dropping, and as such it's hard to have much sympathy for anyone involved with it. There are the basic ruins of a good or even great film visible within Fantastic Four, and with these 14 simple fixes, some of that awesomeness would certainly have come through...
