This summer inevitably once more looks to be a landscape of sequels, and comic book and tentpole movies, though the most virulent trope seems to be that of the Found Footage movie, with a healthy footprint through the three blockbuster months. And even though Marvel and DC now seem more drawn to earlier, lucrative Spring slots for their premiere releases - aside from one major exception this year - Hollywood still clearly sees the benefit of double-stuffing the summer with giant popcorn spectacles.
