7 Actors to Zap Electro to Life in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man sequel, then you know that the newest buzz follows actress Shailene Woodley rumored to take up the mantle of Mary Jane Watson from Kirsten Dunst (a good choice, in my humble opinion), and that the film may feature the electrically charged Electro as its primary antagonist. It's an interesting take, as many speculated that we may see Mysterio, Kraven, or Green Goblin giving the webslinger a run for his money. But if the studio does go with Electro, they'll be picking a fairly well-established rogues gallery villain with quite the fan-base. Electro's a villain often featured in Spider-Man video games and animated series and normally provides a manic, ecstatic, and pardon the pun, electric personality. So, if Sony and Marc Webb put out Electro, you can expect a very different, unrestrained villain than the Lizard we saw in The Amazing Spider-Man. So, with that in mind, let's look at some possibilities for who should play disgruntled Oscorp employee Max Dillon!

7. Aaron Paul

Aaron Paul recently took home his second Emmy for his role in Breaking Bad, and anyone who's seen the show knows that's very well deserved. Paul's not had any extensive cinematic work, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 could be a big break for him, launching him into the spotlight in an already critically established franchise. And a role like Max Dillon could be incredibly freeing for this actor, who I'd personally like to see really unrestrained. At age 33, he'd be very believable as disgruntled Oscorp employee Dillon, turning into the menacing Electro and duking it out with Spider-Man.
