7 Actors to Zap Electro to Life in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

6. Ben Foster

It's a horrific thought to think that someone as talented as Foster hasn't been brought out more in full-length features, yet. Seriously, could this guy be more interesting? After adapting a flat, cliched character in David Slade's 30 Days of Night and turning him into the creepily, haunting mysterious stranger in about seven full minutes of screen time, I've been begging for Foster to do more villainous work. He's quite convincing in 3:10 to Yuma, as well, but I feel Electro would give him all the free reign that this actor specializes in. If he can work wonders with small characters and provide the dramatic turn that he did in The Messenger, I can't imagine what he'd do with an all-out, crazed and eccentric manifestation of lightning.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
