Dream castings can sometimes be a rather magical thing.

Just look at that moment a few years back when a passionate Ahsoka fan took to Twitter to reveal an image of the great Rosario Dawson as a potential live-action version of the Force-sensitive icon, only for Dave Filoni to see the actor's retweet of the post and eventually decide the star was his leading choice for the role.

The chances of absolutely every one of the following actors being brought into the galaxy far, far away in the dream roles in question is admittedly quite slim, of course. But the folks at Lucasfilm have been known to occasionally listen to their audience when it comes to deciding on who should step into the live-action shoes of various well-known characters in the Star Wars universe.

Folks were clamouring to see Lars Mikkelsen be given a shot at unleashing a live-action version of the Grand Admiral Thrawn character he immortalised in Rebels. And this year will finally see the actor return as the blue skinned big bad in the Ahsoka series.

So, with Dawson and Mikkelsen already proving that dream castings can become a reality in this universe, it's time to look at a number of other actors who MUST follow them into the galaxy far, far away in the not too distant future.

8. Jason Momoa As Quinlan Vos

In terms of charming, badass human beings with long luscious locks who look awesome swinging a weapon around a movie or TV set, is there anyone better working today than the mighty Momoa?

The short answer is of course not. And that's what makes the Game of Thrones and Aquaman star such a perfect fit for the maverick Jedi Master known as Quinlan Vos.

Despite only briefly appearing in the background during The Phantom Menace, and showing up a few times in the likes of the Clone Wars animated series and the odd novel, Vos has become something of a cult favourite amongst the Star Wars fandom, with folks gravitating towards his wise-cracking personality and fondness for doing things his own unique way in the field.

These sound like the sort of characteristics Momoa exudes in just about every character he brings to life on the big and small screen. And who wouldn't want to see this effortlessly cool soul strutting around with some yellow tattoos and swinging around a green lightsaber?

So, fingers crossed the tease of him very much being alive out there in the galaxy in Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi leads to a Momoa arrival as the much-loved Jedi in live-action down the road.
