Marvel Zombies has been a hugely (and surprisingly) popular comic book metaseries since its initial publication in 2005. The general gist of the series is that, in an alternate universe, the world's super-powered population has been infected with a virus that turns them into zombies (obviously, no prize for guessing that). In spite of its popularity, it's not exactly the first idea that springs to mind when you consider possible stories to adapt into a movie. Even by comic book standards, it's pretty ludicrous in its nature and there are a near-unlimited number of more suitable arcs from Marvel's comic book history to choose from when it comes to making movies. But could it actually work as a movie? Is the idea of zombie superheroes and villains so ridiculous that even Marvel Studios couldn't pull it off? The Marvel Cinematic Universe is officially the highest-grossing movie franchise of all time - everything they touch turns to gold - so surely they could give it a go. It would certainly score highly with fans. It could actually work as a movie concept, and it could make Marvel a hell of a lot of money...
