8 Totally Bizarre Characters For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

Horse-Thor, mad scientists and talking planets.

Greenlighting Guardians of the Galaxy may just have been the smartest move that Marvel Studios made since they decided to give Robert Downey Jr a big metal suit and an even bigger salary. Aside from bringing readers to a lesser known property and letting Marvel launch a new cartoon series, Guardians allowed the comics giant to explore characters and places that are almost totally separate from the goings on of the cast of the main Avengers movies. More than that, these sci-fi heavy places, people and conflicts are already established in the cosmic off-shoot of the MCU so there€™s no need to spend time justifying them to make them more understandable in the context of our Earth. The first Guardians of the Galaxy film featured its fair share of weird, wonderful and disturbingly proportioned characters, especially in the Kyln prison sequence, but in reality it barely scratched the surface. There are so many outlandish and outright bizarre figures that inhabit the furthest corners of the MU that it would be criminal if the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise didn€™t let its make up and special effects departments stretch their muscles a bit to bring them to the intergalactic party. Plot details for the next Guardians film are of course totally under wraps at this point but any of these characters would be a welcome addition to the action.
