8 Totally Bizarre Characters For Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2
6. Beta Ray Bill
A member of the Korbinite race, Beta Ray Bill may have the most oddly put together name in the Marvel universe. Beta Ray is very sci-fi, but Bill is so normcore by now that you rarely see it outside of the over 60s and indie coming of age dramas. All you really need to know about Beta Ray Bill is that hes a horse-faced alien version of Thor, armour, winged helmet and all. Well, hes a horse-faced alien who is worthy of the power of Thor at least, making him the first character outside of Asgard to lift Thors hammer, Mjolnir, an honour that has since gone to the Vision in the MCU. Having Beta Ray appear in Guardians would just genuinely be fun, especially as Star Lord and co. have no knowledge of Thor, potentially leaving the audience with a head-scratching double take whilst everyone on screen accepts his presence. It could happen too, as Star Lord passed a skeleton that looked suspiciously like it belonged to a Korbinite in GOTGs opening sequence.
