Will the pre-snap deaths actually stick?
2018 has been a stellar year for comic book movies for the most part, but it's fair to say that many of the year's biggest superhero films also left audiences with even more questions than they had going in.
From the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the DC Extended Universe, Fox's remnants of the X-Men franchise and Sony's new Marvel Universe, all of the key players in the comic book movie game made their best efforts to give audiences plenty to chew over once the end credits rolled.
From daring attempts to toy with established continuity, to baffling leaps in logic that might be considered plot holes, tantalising post-credits teases and unresolved fates of iconic characters, there's plenty that's left fans begging for answers.
While in the case of the MCU fans won't have to wait more than a few months, for some of these movies the answers may be years away, if they're even ever resolved at all.
Hopefully the majority of these burning questions will be answered in due course, but it's also worth preparing yourself for a couple of cop-outs among the bunch...
