When you think about it, how many great films were released over the summer? Avengers Assemble, Dark Shadows, Jeff Who Lives At Home, The Raid, Moonrise Kingdom, Prometheus, Killer Joe, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark Knight Rises, Ted, The Bourne Legacy, The Expendables 2, Total Recall and The Watch. Its definitely been the year of the all-action super-hero thats for sure. Now that weve got that little nugget of reflection over and done with, lets look forward to what the next three months have in store to see 2012 out with a bang. Although hopefully not that really big bang that the Mayans predicted. Youve probably got your own list already stuck to your wall that youll cross off as you see them but for those of you that havent then heres some food for thought. Theres some for the Mr, some for the Mrs and some for the young ones amongst you or those of you that are just a big kid at heart. Theres nothing wrong with still playing with Lego in your mid-twenties ignore what your mum says.
9. Paranormal Activity 4
This franchise is by no means my favourite, and to a degree I wish theyd stopped a long time ago but when it comes to Halloween its always nice to have something to fall back on. Since the Saw films ceased production a few years back, Paranormal Activity seems to have taken its helm and held on to it for dear life and who could blame it. Low budget film plus a well-timed release date makes for a gold mine. The film takes place five years after Paranormal Activity 2, which ended with Katie kidnapping Hunter. Now, Katie and Hunter have moved into a new house and they, alongside their neighbours, begin experiencing paranormal events taking place in their home. If you liked the first three films then it sounds like youre in luck. Expect jumps, screams and things that go bump in the night or whenever it sees necessary.Paranormal Activity 4 will be released on October 17th.
