For some, the decision for Ant-Man to close out Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe may seem like a bizarre choice. Of all the movies the studio has lined up, Ant-Man has always been the one thats raised the most eyebrows, particularly after the departure of Edgar Wright, who was attached to direct the project for years. And despite original Ant-Man Hank Pyms standing as not only one of the founding Avengers in the comics, with him obviously absent from the big screen version many have wondered just how this film will connect to rest of the MCU. Though Hank will be featured in this film, hell be portrayed as older and retired from superheroics. And one of the easiest ways to tie him to the Avengers - he created Ultron in the comics - is now impossible, given that the titular android in the Avengers sequel is created by Tony Stark. Add to that the focus on Pyms protege, the second Ant-Man and ex-con Scott Lang, and it leaves some questions. Thankfully, there's still plenty of ways for the movie to be relevant. Be warned, some potential spoilers may be contained within.
