Aquaman: 10 Major New Details We Just Learned

After two movies released in both 2016 and 2017, Warner Bros. have just one DC film on this year's slate, and it represents perhaps their biggest risk at a time when they need a massive hit.

For many years Aquaman has been seen as a joke character, the orange-and-green fish man, rather than a viable option of a big-budget, live-action movie, but that's the perception WB and director James Wan are aiming to change.

With Jason Momoa in the title role, and an excellent cast assembled around him including Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, and Nicole Kidman, there might well be cause for some optimism. Wan's a talented director, and if the outrageous new poster is any indication, they know exactly what they've got on their hands and what they're doing with it, even if it does seem like a silly concept.

Ahead of the movie's first trailer debuting at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, a number of outlets - including IGN, Collider, and JoBlo - have revealed details of their visits to the set of the movie, with a number of big new reveals to further lift the lid on DC's next big hope.
