Arnold Schwarzenegger makes his big return to the silver screen in The Expendables 2 this week. Having taken a hiatus for several years to pursue the small task of being the Governor of California, apart from a few cameos, the last time the former Mr Universe took a major role in a movie was in the 2003 sequel Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines. Since then Schwarzenegger fans have waited patiently for him to make a triumphant return and do what he does best, be an action star! At the height of his movie career, all you needed to do was put SCHWARZENEGGER on top of a movie poster and you knew what you was going to get. From Commando to Predator to Total Recall, you knew the explosions will be big and the body count high, in many ways he was a movie genre of his own. Even with the likes of Stallone, Van Damme and Lundgren offering similar death and destruction, no one done action like Schwarzenegger. Towards the late 90's, Schwarzenegger's popularity started to fade when he made a series of films that failed to to have the spark that made his previous films so popular. From the under appreciated Eraser, the much mocked turn as Mr Freeze in Batman & Robin and the awful The 6th Day, movie goers appeared to have moved on from the brainless action that once turned them on. But as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder and as fans yearned for another Schwarzenegger movie, any cameo he made in films like Welcome To The Jungle and Around The World In 80 Days was excitedly devoured. So that brings us to 2012. After Expendables 2, he will be next seen playing Sheriff Ray Owens in The Last Stand and in prison action movie The Tomb with Sylvester Stallone. At the age of 65, he might show everyone that he has the power to be a box office draw again where other marquee actors are starting to fail. So in celebration of the return of Schwarzenegger, here is a countdown of the top 20 action scenes from the films that made him famous. All together now URRAGGGGGUUUUUUUUURAAAAHHHHUUUUUUUUU....
