Batman: Every Live-Action Catwoman Ranked Worst To Best

Among all the live-action Catwoman performances, which is the best?

There is no bat without the cat. Whether Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, is portrayed as a hero or anti-hero, the character has proven to be a force to be reckoned with. The fascinating adoration with Catwoman has passed down from every new reboot of Batman stories. The mysterious and intelligent cat-burglar has been a fan favourite in the Batman comics and a popular love interest for the Caped Crusader himself.

Numerous actresses have put on the latex suit and won over the Dark Knight's heart in multiple live-action portrayals, however not all came out on top. Some fans may be surprised that Catwoman has actually been brought to life in live-action versions more than any other Batman anti-hero or villain.

Selina Kyle even got her own solo movie and, while unfortunately it was not the best portrayal of the famed rogue, it did pave the way for more female-led live-action DC films like Wonder Woman and Birds of Prey.

With The Batman now having hit the silver screen and digital rentals, now's the ideal time to rank all live-action Selina Kyle/Catwoman portrayals from worst to best.

8. Halle Berry - Catwoman

As much as we love Halle Berry as an actress, she, unfortunately, takes the spot for the worst live-action Catwoman. It wasn’t her fault the ill-fated Catwoman movie performed so terribly, and Berry is the best part of that god-awful film. Catwoman is known to be a sexy character who uses their sexuality to get what she wants, but this Catwoman just felt too sexualised for no good reason.

The terrible costume, overly cheesy script, and overuse of quick shots are just some of the reasons the film bombed as badly as it did. Halle Berry was even nominated and won a Razzie Award, which she personally accepted, spoofing her Best Actress Oscar win and even saying “I want to thank Warner Brothers for putting me in a piece of sh*t, god-awful movie” and “I hope to God I never see these people ever again” when accepting her award.

Unfortunately for Berry, her performance in Catwoman deeply affected her career for over a decade, starring in many B-level productions that many never saw or completely forgot about.
