DeviantartWith the announcement last year that we would finally see Batmans return to the silver-screen in Batman V Superman, speculation was rife about which characters from the DC canon would be included in the film and which actors would be given the challenge of bringing them to life. We already know that Ben Affleck (hopefully minus Boston twang) will be leading the line-up as Batman, Henry Cavill will be Superman, Jesse Eisenberg will rather surprisingly be playing what could be the chief antagonist in Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons will be donning the crisply ironed suit of Alfred and Gal Gadot will do a turn as Wonder Woman. The ridiculous volume of rumours hitting the internet each and every day has now fizzled out somewhat so we can assume production has started but we are as yet unsatisfied by the lack of confirmation regarding who Batmans nemesis will be. We already know that Eisenberg has curiously been cast as the archenemy of Superman but what of the Bats opponents? In the Christopher Nolan trilogy we already saw an incredibly well realised Bane and Joker so perhaps the need for these two to appear in Zack Snyder isnt as severe. However, it has been almost 20-years since Jim Carrey brought us his rather overdone performance as the Riddler. If ever there was a villain to contrast with the gritty, all-too-real antagonists of the Nolan trilogy it would be Carreys bombastic Riddler. It is certainly high time that we saw the lover of puzzles and riddles reevaluated and re-approached, hopefully conveying the darker capabilities of the character. But riddle me this who should be the man to take the Riddler into the 21st century? Here are our 10 picks as to who wed like to see in the green suit and bowler hat:
