Batman v. Superman: 10 Actors Who Could Play The Riddler

10. Dane DeHaan

Warner Bros.Warner Bros.Dane DeHaan €“ touted by some as €œthe next Leonardo DiCaprio€ €“ may have already committed to a superhero movie role with his superb portrayal of Harry Osborn/Green Goblin in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 but this doesn€™t mean that he wouldn€™t be a brilliant Riddler. Indeed, there is a lot linking the Green Goblin and the Riddler besides their both favouring green attire €“ most conspicuously both villains are deeply neurotic characters who don€™t appear to be motivated by money. Besides if Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans have proven anything it€™s that committing to one comic book character doesn€™t automatically eliminate you from future Marvel or DC roles. DeHaan has a sickly, vulnerable look which has been used to great effect in previous roles like in The Place Beyond the Pines where he played the delinquent son of a murdered bank robber or as Jesse D'Amato in HBO€™s In Treatment (the role he is still arguably best known for). The 28-year-old is a superb actor who certainly warrants all the hype and would make an excellent Riddler, likely to be particularly effective at capturing the puzzle-loving villain€™s psychological instability.
