It's been a heel of a time for MCU fans recently with such heavy focus on Captain America: Civil War and the blossoming Spider-Man: Homecoming. Jimmy Kimmel's Marvel week continued too with appearances by Robert Downey Jr, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp and Paul Bettany talking up Civil War the night after the world premiere.

As with Team Cap's appearance earlier in the week, the interviews were as insightful as they were entertaining, offering funny set stories, plot teases and behind the scenes snippets of information on what it is to be an MCU actor.

Again, the revelations ranged from the major (like a couple of spoiler hints) to the fact that the actors would play the Russos off against each other and that Robert Downey Jr would be off getting shiatsu when scenes didn't require Stark to show his face. At times it was a little challenging to sort the comedy from the truth, but it made for an enlightening experience that works well as a last minute companion read before we all get to see Civil War.

As already warned, there are a couple of light spoiler suggestions in here, so fly carefully...

8. There's An Iron Man Flash-Back

Marvel Studios

Though Downey Jr did claim that he wasn't spoiling anything, he revealed that there's actually a flashback sequence that sees a young Tony Stark appear (at around 24-years-old by the sound of it). So presumably we're looking at an event in Tony's past, at a stage where he was still the playboy weapons dealer that has ramifications in the Civil War narrative arc. Could it be another previous encounter with The Winter Soldier?

The actor confessed to being so impressed with how good he looked that he was going to ask for any subsequent movie appearances (notice that wasn't a closed issue) to be de-aged.

RDJ also admitted that Chris Evans was a nervous wreck before the premiere, suddenly realising how exciting the Marvel whirlwind actually is.
