Football fans have the World Cup, wrestling fans have WrestleMania, and comic book fans have Comic-Con. Each year, the annual event in San Diego brings with it a plethora of huge movie announcements, with fans left to decide what was the biggest and best. As 2015's draws near, who between Marvel and DC will be crowned the victors by fanboys? Studios are left scrambling to top the previous year's announcements, and on the off chance they decide to avoid Hall H (as Sony did last year), they're met with criticism and accusations of being scared of the competition. Ironically, Marvel are apparently deciding to sit this year's Comic-Con out. Most believe they no longer need to go, as their own "Marvel Event" last Autumn generated just as much - if not more - buzz among their fans. However, there's no way they'll let their Distinguished Competition overshadow them, so Marvel will no doubt still have a few surprises up their sleeve even if that doesn't include a panel. It's not all about these two though; Fox will also have a presence, as will studios who don't own any comic book franchises, but do have their own releases to promote. Here, you will find just ten major movie announcements which would make this year's Comic-Con arguably the best ever. From some surprising additions to Marvel's Phase 4 slate to Warner Bros.' big plans for their DC Comics properties, not to mention the future of franchises like Jurassic World, Star Wars, and Transformers, there's a lot to get excited over.
