With just less than two weeks to go until the release of James Gunn's Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2, the time to start getting extremely over-excited is upon us. And almost as if they know exactly when to hit the fuel injection on the hype train, Marvel have just screened the film for the first time to critics, inspiring a raft of early reactions to hit social media.
The good - and not entirely unexpected - news is that almost everyone who has seen it so far says it's great. The broad picture suggests a movie that is fun, visually arresting and emotionally devastating in equal measures, with inevitable praise for exactly the characters you might have predicted.
We are all Groot.
With the embargo on full reviews in place until next week (the 24th), these reactions are the only thing we can hold onto as a promise of what to expect in the sequel, so it's undoubtedly worth picking through them to find a shape of the movie's success.
