The Marvel Cinematic Universe has introduced some incredibly powerful characters over the last ten plus years, with the ranks of the Avengers growing exponentially since they first came together in 2012. There can be no doubt that one of the most powerful of these is Wanda Maximoff.

Introduced alongside her twin brother in Age of Ultron, Wanda has gone through an incredible journey in the MCU. From being a villain in league with Ultron to becoming one of the strongest beings in the universe, she has lost her family, her brother, her love, and ultimately her grasp on reality.

This has allowed the character some truly exceptional moments throughout her time in the franchise. She has had her heart broken, shown off her amazing, unique power, and made sure that no one could question that she is one of the strongest ever to join the Avengers.

She is set to star in the MCU's first Disney+ series, in what will likely be the franchise's most bizarre and intriguing project to date. With only a few days to go until the debut of WandaVision, there is no better time to look back at Wanda's history in the franchise, and relive her very best moments.

10. Strucker's Experiments

What kind of monster would let a German scientist experiment on them in order to protect their country? In an effort to help rid war torn Sokovia of strife, Wanda and Pietro Maximoff joined HYDRA and voluntarily became test subjects of Wolfgang von Strucker and Loki's scepter.

This resulted in the twins gaining special abilities which, in the words of Maria Hill, manifested themselves as Pietro being fast and Wanda being weird. Though this part of the story wasn't shown until Age of Ultron in 2015, the Maximoffs made their first MCU appearance in 2014 as part of The Winter Soldier's mid-credit scene.

There were no words spoken by them, instead they were simply shown in their own cell, demonstrating their power. As Pietro zipped around his four walls, Wanda's hands glowed red as she used her abilities to juggle several wooden blocks in the air.

Though this barely scratched the surface of what Wanda would ultimately be able to do in the MCU, it was an incredible tease for what fans had to look forward to in the future. Strucker described her as a miracle, and he wasn't wrong.
