Damien Chazelle's magical musical, nominated for 14 awards, picked up a still impressive six awards, and thought it'd secured the big one when Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty announced it as the Best Picture winner.

However, it turned out the wrong envelope had been handed over, and in one of the craziest moments in Oscar history, Moonlight was announced as the real winner.

The fiasco has completely dominated the show, overshadowing the fact that Moonlight winning Best Picture is really impressive, and that the rest of the four-hour broadcast has been left behind.

So how was the Oscars overall? It's rarely a truly great show, and the latest iteration didn't change anything in that regard, but there was still a lot to like this year.
