Oscars 2017: 8 Ups And 6 Downs

8. Kate McKinnon Presenting Makeup/Costume

Kate McKinnon has really made a name for herself that past year, stealing the show in Ghostbusters and constantly knocking it out of the park on Saturday Night Live. She had only a small role to play in the Oscars, presenting the awards for Makeup and Hairstyling and Costume Design alongside Jason Bateman, but made sure it was memorable.

Pretending to be unaware of what the awards were actually for, she guessed that "Makeup is the art of ending an argument. When you are about to get a divorce, and you don’t, that is makeup." Costumes, meanwhile, are "the cost of humes." Bit weird, but with McKinnon's offbeat style it really managed to work, making for one of the best presentations of the night.
