Owen Wilson: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

More than just a nose.

By Gaz Lloyd /

A mellow mop-top and the proud owner of the most knobbly nose in America, Owen Wilson has become one of the most unmistakable stars in modern-day Hollywood. Whilst possessing a similar charisma and charm to the typical stars who spend their lives strolling across red carpets, Wilson has a sort of accessibility about him: a friendliness and down-to-earth attitude that suggests he'd be equally at home among your very own circle of personal friends sipping a beer in a bar, as he is amid champagne and paparazzi. Aside from his trademark swishing blonde hair, Wilson is also recognised as having one of the more distinctive voices in Hollywood, with an intonation that sits somewhere between a garble and a drawl, as if talking whilst chomping on a last little piece of a gobstopper. The art of acting truly appears to be in the Wilson family blood, as the three siblings of Owen, Luke and Andrew have all gone to on to make it as performers. The middle brother has arguably struck it best, with an acting career that's been raking in a big Hollywood wage for almost twenty years. His latest movie, No Escape, is out in UK cinemas this week, and the general word is that while the film has pretty big issues, few of them come from Wilson. Which is good to hear - over the course of his career, the actor has contributed to a wide range of projects, and whilst some of his performances been absolutely terrific, some have quite simply sucked. Let's take a look at five of each.
