Ranking February 2015’s Movies From Worst To Best

From the decidedly un-sexy Fifty Shades of Grey to SpongeBob's outrageous shenanigans...

February has come to an end, which means that film fans everywhere can rejoice that they've pretty much made it past the "graveyard period" of the year, where studios dump their least-desirable projects amid Oscar fare and simply hope for the best both critically and commercially. Though there thankfully weren't any movies quite as soul-crushingly awful as Mortdecai this month (though one came pretty close), it was definitely a mixed bag, a range of limp sequels nobody asked for, disappointing tentpole pics, entertaining dark comedies, SpongeBob and, well, Fifty Shades Of Grey. The month didn't bring about many memorable films (at least not in a good way), though there were a few surprisingly decent efforts, and in honesty, it could have been a lot worse. Overall, it shows that studios are now ready to get back to business for March, which will see the release of highly anticipated movies such as Chappie, Cinderella, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, The Gunman, Get Hard and Home. There will doubtless be another article this time next month complaining about movies that didn't fulfil their potential while a few neat surprises crept up on audiences, because such is the unpredictability of cinema! Without any further ado, here are this month's movies ranked from worst to best...
