Ranking February 2015’s Movies From Worst To Best

17. Hot Tub Time Machine 2

RottenTomatoes Score: 15% (3.3/10 average) Box Office: Though the movie cost an extremely low $14 million (compared to the original's $36 million, largely due to John Cusack's presence), it hasn't even managed to recoup that at the box office, scoring just $5.9 million in its first US weekend, a major drop from the gross of the original. While it'll just about make its budget back once it's finished releasing worldwide, it's still a total bust. Sadly, Hot Tub 2 is among the more perfunctory and lazy recent movie sequels, making too many baseless references to the first movie without fashioning a decent plot to support itself. Though it musters (very) occasional laughs on the basis of its cast alone, it's a far cry from the outrageous brilliance of the original, and the trailers gave away a lot of the best jokes.
