Sonys leaked e-mails has released a cascade of information detailing the inner workings of the company. One of the more notable leaks has been the notion that Marvel could take the reins of the Spider-Man franchise if Andrew Garfield was fired from the role. The e-mails talked about a January summit where the head honchos at Sony will make a final decision over what to do with the flailing franchise. To give them a hand, here are ten reasons Andrew Garfield should be ditched from the franchise. In this millennium Sony have released a grand total of five Spider-Man movies, yet they still seem to have no idea of how to handle one of Marvels most popular and most recognisable heroes. This isnt to say that Andrew Garfield is a poor actor, and many of the flaws in the movies are the fault of the studio more than the cast, but sometimes there needs to be a sacrifice to let the character succeed - and now is one of those times. Marvel have shown that they are open to inducting the web-slinger into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but they are hesitant to keep any of the remnants of the haphazardly formed The Amazing Spider-Man franchise - given that Garfield is the poster boy for this latest iteration of Peter Parker, he has to be one of the first to go.
