Spider-Man: 10 Reasons Sony Should Fire Andrew Garfield

It's time to move on with a different Spidey.

Sony€™s leaked e-mails has released a cascade of information detailing the inner workings of the company. One of the more notable leaks has been the notion that Marvel could take the reins of the Spider-Man franchise if Andrew Garfield was fired from the role. The e-mails talked about a January summit where the head honchos at Sony will make a final decision over what to do with the flailing franchise. To give them a hand, here are ten reasons Andrew Garfield should be ditched from the franchise. In this millennium Sony have released a grand total of five Spider-Man movies, yet they still seem to have no idea of how to handle one of Marvel€™s most popular and most recognisable heroes. This isn€™t to say that Andrew Garfield is a poor actor, and many of the flaws in the movies are the fault of the studio more than the cast, but sometimes there needs to be a sacrifice to let the character succeed - and now is one of those times. Marvel have shown that they are open to inducting the web-slinger into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but they are hesitant to keep any of the remnants of the haphazardly formed The Amazing Spider-Man franchise - given that Garfield is the poster boy for this latest iteration of Peter Parker, he has to be one of the first to go.
