Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Power-Ranking Every Character

Who is the true Chosen One?

Power in the Star Wars universe is a difficult thing to classify. That's always the case in any fictional universe that marries magical elements with traditional action hero characters. For instance, Luke Skywalker might have been one of the most naturally powerful Jedi in the Galaxy in the Original Trilogy, but Han Solo was arguably more useful in a fight for most of it. It's a matter of perspective.

And that's precisely what makes debating the relative powers of the major players in the Star Wars universe all the more intriguing. There might not be as many Jedi or Sith as there once were, but there are still God-like powers on show, and equally, there are more grounded characters who have powers that are far less tangible but no less important. After all, isn't this big old space opera just as much about strength of will and heart as it is about shooting lightning out of fingertips and making people do things they don't want to?

Other fan favourite characters like Admiral Ackbar and Nien Nunb will appear in some form, but it's probably best not to consider them MAIN characters in the same way as those listed here. They're probably also protected by plot armour, so they'd be pretty highly ranked, if you're in any way furious with their omission.

So, of the ones who made the cut, who ranks as the most powerful?
