The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ranking The Villains
7. Talia al Ghul

Now, I'm not saying she is a bad villain, not in any way shape or form, it's just that compared to the other ones she doesn't rank so highly. Maybe it was because as Talia and not Miranda she wasn't on screen for very long, or because I saw the twist coming a mile away, or because in the comics she is a warrior and apart from stabbing Batman in the film, she showed no signs of knowing any skills whatsoever, but I did enjoy her character on screen. I thought Marian Cotillard performed the character well to be totally honest; she has always been a great actress and although her character didn't have a whole lot to do in this film, she did play her part very well. The Dark Knight Rises was a great film, many fans and professional critics agree, and although it does have a number of fans who dislike the film, it is generally well received. If I had to have one minor complaint with the film, it is Talia, not that I dislike her as I mentioned earlier, but that her character's introduction was unnecessary, and say she was never in the film, it wouldn't have affected it one single bit. So in summary of Talia, she was a good villain and Marion portrayed her very well, just she didn't have a whole lot to do and her character was pointless in a sense of the word.
