The Fountain chat track online
The Fountain DVD came without a commentary track, but that hasn't stopped director Darren Aronofsky making his own and putting it online.

Youll be hard pushed to find a film more divisive than Darren Aronofskys The Fountain. Personally I found it a beautiful movie both in aesthetic and sentiment, however I think its far from perfect and can completely understand why people dislike this trippy cosmic love story. So far Ive resisted buying the DVD as it looked like Warner Bros had skimped on the extras. But now theres an excellent reason to pick it up as Darren Aronofsky has recorded a commentary track (the DVD didnt have one) and released it online for download. I dont often listen to commentary tracks but this is one Im definitely interested in and may give something of a definitive answer as to what exactly The Fountain is about (I have my own ideas but who knows if they match Aronofsky's intentions). This comes on the back of John Augusts online commentary to The Nines and shows just why the internet is an awesome place for film nerds. I just hope that this downloadable commentary thing doesnt go too far and we get the creator of this monstrocity releasing a talk track! source darrenaronofsky.com
