In Theatre Commentary For The Nines

John August and Ryan Reynolds have recorded a downloadable audio commentary for the release of The Nines

John August's The Nines gets a cinema release this weekend in the States and, in a nice little marketing trick, the writer/director has recorded an audio commentary with the films star, Flash-in-waiting Ryan Reynolds, which can be downloaded straight to your Mp3 player to take into the theatre with you. This trick has kind of been done before. Kevin Smith promised something similar for Clerks II but he ran into some problems with the studio and theatre owners so the idea was pulled. Darren Aronofsky posted on his MySpace blog about recording a commentary for The Fountain to accompany the DVD release but I don't think that has materialised. The Nines looks like a film that you'll either never want to see again or one that demands a second viewing. It certainly looks like a mind-bender and I'm looking forward to it, but then the trailer also made it look scarily reminiscent of The Number 23 so in that respect I'm terrfied! If the film turns out well, then it may be worth checking it out a second time with the commentary. You'd have to be a massive idiot to go and watch this film first time around with August/Reynolds blabbering in your ears. source - johnaugust.com

Will Reynolds hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
