As more and more merchandise starts being discovered for the impending release of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, with it comes extra tidbits of character backstory. In the latest such nugget to hit the internet, a character blurb for Wonder Woman gives us some indication of just what exactly she's been up to before the events of the superhero throwdown. Let's not forget that Wonder Woman's 2017 solo prequel film is due to be set in World War I, which leaves a whopping hundred years or so of history to fill in for the character. According to the blurb, found on the back of packaging for a crappy-looking bust of the character, she's been keeping "her eyes and ears open for intrigue" whilst working as an Antiquities Dealer. Take a look at the Instagram scoop below; https://www.instagram.com/p/BCae8QtSx6M/ The key information we get here is that her alias of Diana Prince is firmly in place, and that whatever she's been doing between the events of her solo film and the present day-setting of Batman V Superman, she definitely hasn't been resting on her laurels. All this talk of staying on the lookout for intrigue suggests that she's been operating in full-on adventurer mode for a while. The full text on the packaging reads:
"The worlds first and foremost female Super Hero, Wonder Woman at once embodies the unrivalled force and supreme grace of a born warrior, and the genuine compassion and understanding of a true humanitarian. As a symbol of equality, power, and truth, her natural confidence and unmistakable intelligence make her an unequalled, if unexpected, ally. The immortal Amazonian Princess Diana keeps her eyes and ears open for intrigue as the beautiful and mysterious antiquities dealer, Diana Prince."
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is released on 25th March. Wonder Woman is released on June 23, 2017.
