2012 was a typically big year for games, but some of gaming's highest accomplishments of the year were not seen, nor particularly celebrated. I refer, of course, to the best soundtracks of the year - those audio accompaniments that heighten the game experience almost as much as visuals and story details.
The soundtracks of games are something to be cherished every year, and 2012 is no exception.

So, this article is about the times the music we heard in games took our breath away last year. Whether they haunt us, inspire us, confuse us, or simply break our hearts, these pieces are all outstanding and affecting...
10. Far Cry 3
Ubisoft's gem of the year produced a surprisingly decent soundtrack, consisting of the patternless melody and haunting vocals of a woman with a language many of us have never heard before. It intoxicates and invites us into the unknown world of FC3, introducing us to the maniacs that inhabit it. Though this soundtrack may slip past the minds of those who play it, Far Cry 3 gives us the depth and terror of its story through its music. It tells us that more is going to happen in this journey than a few friends on vacation. Along with the story, it has many changes in tempo and structure - changing direction when we think we're here to stay. The game introduced many newcomers to the series, earning acclaim from those who played it. And even though it may go unnoticed, the soundtrack was pretty fine too. If you pardon the pun once more, its pretty insane. http://youtu.be/nmcWe2SrkuY
