It€™s being another year of highs and lows in the video game industry. To be honest, there€™ve been mostly lows because the highs were about as elevated as a single step on a cracked staircase. Now the year isn€™t over obviously being December 10th, and I know there are one or two more games that are going to wash up on our shores, but in the grand schemes of things, it€™s totally sucked to be a gamer in 2012. Here's ten reasons why;

10. The Summer Games Drought

The Summer Games Drought like most years is a horrible period to weather because all the developers hold back the rest of their triple A titles until the last two quarters of the year. They do this because (apparently) everyone is out enjoying the warm toasty Sun and don€™t have time for blinking blooping video games. I of all people know this isn€™t true because being a gamer and misanthropic; I am opposed to spending any lengthy periods of time outside and desire time alone. Normally, like a nervous squirrel I collect my game nuts in preparation for this time of year, but this year (because the releases were so poor, which I€™ll elaborate on later) I spent my time re-playing some of my older titles and watching Peep Show.
